Important notice: Strike on January 28 and closing of catering facilities

The ver.di union has called for a full-day warning strike in the public sector in Bamberg on Wednesday, January 28. Unfortunately, this will result in significant restrictions in cafeteria and cafeteria operations.

All dining facilities will remain closed.
Thank you for your understanding! From Thursday, the facilities will be open as usual.

A central task of the Studierendenwerk is serving students with inexpensive meals. 

Our kitchen managers attach great importance to the quality and regionality of the products they use. The varied range of food on offer in the canteens in Bamberg includes:

  • Soups
  • Lunch of the day for little money (main component with 2 side dishes)
  • Several choices (fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes)
  • Various side dishes (rice, potatoes, vegetables, pasta, chips, .....)
  • Desserts
  • Salad bar and side salads
  • Desserts
  • Fresh fruit
  • Wide selection of drinks
  • Changing special offer weeks enrich the menu at regular intervals.

Students eat cheaper, because the meals are subsidised with public funds. Only matriculated students, who can prove their identity, may therefore benefit from these prices. To employees and guests other prices apply.

Students from other Bavarian universities pay the corresponding student price on presentation of their student ID. 
Students who cannot present a student ID from a Bavarian university will be charged the servants price.
 

Please note that our canteens and cafeterias are sometimes closed during the semester break or are only open during shortened opening hours.
